Although my wife and I were friends with Brian prior to using his services for the sale and purchase of homes here in Charleston, I was initially apprehensive about using a friend in a professional (real estate) capacity. My primary reason being; when you have someone working for you, one generally doesn't want a friendship to get in the way because business is business and you might need to be assertive occasionally in order to get things done. Brian and I actually had breakfast together to discuss the way we both envisioned the process and what we both expected of one another.
